Secret, TS, and TS/SCI (or US citizens capable of obtaining a security clearance)
Summary
Northstrat is seeking Systems Engineers to provide systems engineering and complete life-cycle management for complex software development projects for intelligence community government customers. Systems Engineers are expected to have a strong technical background and be highly self-directed and motivated.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for federal government customers
- Demonstrated experience with commonly used government program life-cycle management methodologies (PDR, CDR, RFCs, and CM)
- Experience performing requirements definition and management
- Experience with concept development, design, integration & test, and site deployment & installation
- Broad understanding and experience with current software development methodologies
- Must be able to translate users’ needs into requirements and work with developers to ensure customer satisfaction with the developed technologies
- Some positions require specific customer domain experience
Desired Skills
- Work is performed in a multi-contractor environment that involves daily interactions with customers and peers from other companies. The successful candidate must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, flexibility, and tolerance to change
- Requires periodic status presentations to customers and program management
- Understanding of the operational environments into which the developed technologies are deployed
- Scripting, coding, and database experience would be very beneficial
- Previous use and/or creation of automated testing capabilities
